PROJECT MANAGER - CIVIL/MECHANICAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR

Compensation: TBD

REQUIREMENTS
  • Degreed Engineer with minimum 5-10 years' experience.
  • Ability to read; understand civil and mechanical blueprints, familiarity with general specifications codes and standards.
  • Ability to prepare shop and as-built drawings with CAD skills.
  • Computer literate, including spreadsheet development, estimating, budgeting, financial reporting, planning and scheduling programs, and word processing.
  • Strong project administration skills including knowledge of contracts, claims and change order procedures, document and record organization, vendor print review, drawing and specification controls.
  • Strong team player able to direct project teams, to communicate clearly and have strong writing skills.
  • Understanding of field construction methods and techniques and able to direct field forces to execute work in a safe and efficient manner.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for the on-site management of infrastructure related heavy civil / mechanical construction projects. Specific activities may include: budgeting, planning, scheduling, shop drawings, billing, contract management, manpower assignment and any other activities to manage the project. You will be required to properly administer contracts, modifications and change orders with Federal, State, local agencies and private clients. With the team members assigned to you, you will carry out project procurement in accordance with drawings and specifications and provide an accurate review of shop drawings in addition to vendor submittals. You must be able to analyze and plan detailed field construction activities and work with the field construction workforce to ensure that instructions are clearly communicated, goals are set, schedules are resource loaded and monitored and resources are on site in a timely manner and all safety and health safeguards adhered to. You will be responsible for the safety and financial success of projects under your management.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Compensation: TBD
Employment Type: Full-Time
REQUIREMENTS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Entry level to 5+ years' of experience in construction or engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or any Engineering related field, Construction Management, or equivalent degree.
  • Strong experience in AutoCad, SolidWorks, or other CAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Assist with on-site management to ensure project success
  • Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
  • Assist in the preparation and interpretation of engineering drawings
  • Responsible for RFI and submittal process
  • Processes owner billings and project related accounting issues
JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion.
